Need New Laptop, HELP!

Hey everyone just trying to get some advise on what laptop I should get. I will be using it mainly for school, games, and running music software like Ableton Live. I have narrowed down my search to two different laptops.

They are:

Lenovo Y560

Newegg.com - lenovo IdeaPad Y560 (0646-5LU) NoteBook Intel Core i5 480M(2.66GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD±R/RW ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730

and

Acer Aspire AS5742G-6600

Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS5742G-6600 Notebook Intel Core i5 480M(2.66GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M w/ NVIDIA Optimus

I can get the Lenovo for 688.89 with free shipping. The Acer I can only find on Newegg.

If you have no preference between AMD and nVidia, I would go with the Lenovo. Solid track record, and a darn good price

Does any happen to know which has a longer battery life and which gets hot faster?

You got me on this one. laugh4.gif Some do some don't -I never had any issues with ACER or Lenovo or any other brands. But others beg a difference.

Nevermind looks like I can only get the Lenovo off Newegg so it will end up being $40.00 more than the Acer. Is it worth it?
