P5020D unknown device

Thread Starter

After fixing the lcd cable (4 wires were cut inside the hinge) and fresh installing XPhome, I realised that I can ot connect to a wifi nor with the onboard module or a usb wifi. I checked the evice list and saw an unknown device. IIs described as "intel 82801DBM LPC". I tried to reinstall the drivers but no luck.

Any help?

Which driver you tried to re-install? You have a link to it?

I would go first with the chipset driver for a clean OS installation, regardless of version.

OK, fixed but the problems is from the wifi card (intel 2100). If there is no security, it connects, but is there is security other that wep... blue screen "network out of range".

Did anyone replace with a newer wifi card? any working with p5020?

Tnx

You can safely upgrade the card to an Intel (or any) B/G card if you still have the original B only. Sounded like driver issue still for me.
