My laptop burns my hand...

I have the Asus G51JX-X3, basically after I got it, it was taken off of Amazon and many other places, I'm pretty sure they've stopped making this exact kind because of the problems with heat, even the stuff I read, and the gaming is so-so, usually have to turn V-sync off if I want to play with good graphic settings, but anyways, it really heats up, it's always warm on the side where the heat exits but when I'm gaming or on the internet multitasking for a while, it really gets hot and if my hand is next to the left of my laptop it could literally hurt if I keep it there for too long, what does a cooling station (or whatever they're called) actually do? And can I get a good one for under 30$? Also, what else could I do about this heat problem?

The best way to handle heat dissipation is to elevate the notebook. Sure you can get a cool looking Zalman cooler and just use it as the elevator. Flat surface is the best way to pull in cool air.

You might want to look into replacing the thermal paste with something like IC Diamond or Liquid Pro - they can help get the temp down a few degrees when applying onto CPU /GPU

And stay away from using the notebook on your laps - yeah, it is called laptop, but also manhood-burner

Lol yeah, I do keep it on a flat surface though. What do you mean by replacing the thermal paste?

Factory thermal paste is not always good - does the job though. Newer thermal paste is better served as a heat transporter medium from CPU / GPU to the heat sink and then further out by the fan.

Alright thanks, I may look into this more when my warranty expires (September)
