A larger screen does appeal to a lot of gamers. Esp ones that attend LANs.

When designing notebooks they just need to use less bezel around the LCD screens to decrease the size of the notebooks. No need to reduce the panel size, just reduce the excess around it!

I think what you forgot was that the Benzel hold alot of stuff behind it that are useful that need to be hidden or tucked away. 1) The alienware Sign (Maybe Unnecessary) 2) LCD inverter 3) Web Camera 4) Built in Microphone 5) Wifi Antenna and sometimes bluetooth all of that is tucked away behind there thus edge to edge display is highly unlikely the thinnest you could possible get would probably the what the Apple PC's currently have.

I think you could fit all that stuff behind the actual LCD and reduce the bezels to nearly nothing with almost no problem*. I don't think I would want such a panel due to the fact that opening the lid would leave me with finger smudges all over my screen, but I think it could be possible.

*At least the side bezels. If you want to shrink the top and bottom bezels you'd need to either get rid of or relocate the camera. Also, none of the systems I've ever had had the mic in one of the bezels, they've always been in the body (either palm rest or near the top of the keyboard). Though I've never had a AW either.

It still holds true Steve. laugh4.gif

Personally I have to agree with the decision to get rid of the M15X I have one by the way, but size-wise it's almost too big to be portable. I've held it up to the 16" XPS that I had and it's even LARGER, which puts it more into the realm of most 17" notebooks. I had the M15X become my desktop replacement while I was activated on the mainland due to it's un-portability.
