VGN-S48GP Windows 7 nvidia drivers for Aero Glass

I've installed Windows 7 which runs just fine on my trusty old S48GP, but I can't seem to get Aeropeek to work. Has anyone successfully managed to install proper graphics drivers to enable aero glass?

 

This will probably be a thread with no answer, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway :)

Sorry, I meant aero glass. But aero peek is also related. It's the transparency effect you see of the windows taskbar and title bar in Vista and now Windows 7. Aero Peek is seeing thumbnails of your open windows

When your graphics card doesn't support it, you just get a solid colour background. Not a deal breaker. It's only cosmetic. But I know the graphics card is capable. There's just an issue with Sony blocking Nvidia drivers.

Ohhhh i see. I had no idea that was what it was called.

Yeh that definitely should work. I'm not sure though.. Did you try searching on Microsoft's site?

Take a look at our NBF Mobile Force driver. I use the 190.x version on my old Sony nVidia cards.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just installed NBF MobileForce Se7en 260.99 and I now have proper, working drivers. Even my system rating went up from a 1.0 to a 2.7 :)

 

You have solved an issue that has been bugging me since the first day I got Windows 7 back in '09.

I have the vgn-s48gp machine , I installed windows 7 and tried hard to install the video driver , I also tryed to install NBF MobileForce Se7en 260.99 , but it did not work , can any body plz tell me why it does not work .

Try again cleaning up all the previous drivers (we have the guide in that section as how to remove old drivers), then use NBF 190.x version first. If that works then upgrade it to 260.99

When I install NBF_MobileForce_Se7en_26099-32_betadriver , the machine says

This graphic driver could not find compatible graphc hardware , the same messege appeared when

I tryied to install xp video driver  . I think my proplem is that windows can't recognize my machine as a sony vaio
