okay,
I have tried every trick I know, about 7 or 8 driver packages and still can't get a modem driver to 'take'.......not that I need the modem to surf or do anything, it would be nice if I just could get the darn yellow exclamation to disappear in device manager, i guess i am a little anal about this stuff....
tried the vista 64bit driver and many other drivers, but for some reason it won't install when run as admin and in compatibilty mode...I got close one time, but Windows 7 put the kabash on the install and would not activate the modem......
i know there has to be a work around for this, need some help from the only community that has the answers....
BTW, windows 7 ultimate 64bit works pretty darn well on the Mseries (6810 in my case)..as fast or faster than XP 32 bit....
thanks in advance for any help in this matter....
laterzzzz
SOLVED:
It took several attempts, turns out that the drivers for Motorola sm56 speakerphone modem are the snizit....all is good now...
It took windows 7 update 2 daze to come up with the solution, it appeared as an action center notification...
woohoo, now all is perfect...
