How is Dell handling older notebooks with failed nVidia GPUs? (D630)

So I bought a refurbished D630 in Aug. 2008 at an incredible price. It failed me on a little more than a year ago but I was in a position where I needed another notebook fast so I bought a 13" Apple MBP. I am finally getting around to doing an RMA for the D630 since I'm getting close to the end of my regular 3 year warranty. I'm just wondering how Dell is handling the repair/replacement with these older machines. I hope they will replace it with an E6400 or E6410 that might not have the same issue down the road.

If it's just repair and send it back then it'll probably go right on Craigslist as soon as it gets back. =\

it really depends on parts availability.

IF they have the part they will fix it, if not they will replace the laptop.

Well Dell's system is down so they can't process the RMA request. Funny thing though was that when I was getting ready to put back the original hard drive and RAM, the screen started to display normally again. Now I'm concerned they are going to deny service once it even gets down there.

Should I keep running a 3D game or something until it fails again? It did this before right after it failed the first time and started giving the artifacts again not long after.

edit: take that back after about 10 minutes on the BIOS screen, it decided to double display with lines again. think i'm going to be good. :-D
