I just bought a used NC6320 Laptop computer which had a "Power On" password installed. I decided I would remove the password and followed the instructions describing "Remove the BIOS battery, remove the main battery and power supply. I waited for 2 hours and started this Laptop using the AC power supply only.
Now I can only boot up to the Xp splash screen. At this point the boot up returns to the Start-Up screen and then goes through the same routine, over and over.
Have I fried my motherboard? Can anybody give me a clue on what to do to cause a normal full boot up to the main Xp Window program.
