Similar Laptops?

Hi,

I currently own a Dell XPS M1330 but its about three years old now and I'm looking to upgrade. I'm looking for a fast, powerful laptop of around the same size.

I really like the spec of the M11x. For about $1000, it seems to be the best bang for buck. But my only problem is that I don't need the graphics card. I'm not much of a gamer, I'm fine with integrated graphics. What would you suggest to someone like me looking for a similar spec to the M11x but with lesser graphics?

Why do you want less? The M11x GPU is entry level. It's not really midrange. Midrange would be the GTX 560 and the high end currently 485M. 540M is better than integrated but not by much. It's only suitable on the M11x because the screen and resolution are so small.

540M is about 3x faster than Intel HD 3000.

That doesn't mean much when it's so slow.

540M is still very much an low entry level GPU. I don't see much point in going for just integrated. Won't save you much.

With 96 NVidia type shader units it belongs into midrange GPUs.
