Clevo showcases latest innovations in gaming notebooks
CLEVO P270WM, featuring a 17.3-inch panel, Intel-based desktop CPU, and two of Nvidia's latest mobile graphics processor units (GPUs) embedded onto the machine's PCB. The company is already capable of equipping two 100W-level GPUs into the notebook to significantly enhance its graphics performance without resulting in overheating.
Having adopted such high-power-consumption graphics cards, some consumers may think that the heat the cards generate could have a significant impact on the machine's performance; however, Clevo's experience and technologies related to cooling solutions, has already resolved the issues and the cooling solution even reduces noise created by the fan to a minimum.
The company is also showcasing the P270WM notebook, supporting up to three hard drives to boost its storage space as well as four DRAM modules to boost memory support up to 16GB. Clevo is set to launch the P270WM as early as November with its clients to have a choice of picking the graphics solution they desire.
In addition to Nvidia's top-end mobile graphics cards that consume 100W of power, Clevo also offers its clients lower-level graphics solutions from Nvidia including GPUs that consume only 20W, 25W, 35W and 55W of power.
As for the 3D notebooks, Clevo is currently providing its 3D solution through Nvidia's GTX 485M graphics card and is already integrating the signal transmitter of the 3D technology inside the notebook. The company will later upgrade the graphics card to GTX 560M to continue serving its clients 3D products with enhanced graphics performance.
