Gateway MD2614U Not Posting

Hi I have a Gateway MD2614U that won't post. When I turn it on the wifi light turns on along with the fan and the media controls and the disk drive trys to do something with or without a disk in it but nothing on the screen happens. I have tried moving the ram, changing the ram, changing the HDD, and reseating the CPU. Nothing seems to be working. It has 1 2GB stick of 2RX8 Cp2-5330S Ram, and a 160 GB WD Scorpio Blue.

Based on what you've already checked, it's down to either your video card or motherboard. Most likely, one or the other will have to be replaced.

... and since the GPU is part (soldered on) of the motherboard - try baking it or get a board replacement.

Nvidia chips had an issue with their laptop graphics being poorly soldered onto the board. Once they got hot and cold a few times, the solder failed and you got a bad contact and the laptop failed... Baking the motherboard 'reflows' the solder and sets the graphics chip properly... Unless done with a machine, it is really a temporary fix, but you can get a working laptop doing it..
