Okay, I have a Compaq laptop just a few months old & my 6yo managed to spill orange juice on the keyboard... dh took it apart, cleaned it out - for 2 days it wouldn't work well, then for about 2 weeks it was working maybe 99% normal, but now it's got serious issues again:
- when I'm typing, zeros just randomly shoot up every couple of letters, sometimes a whole string of them, and
- the delete key fires at random, frequently, and
- the touch-pad will move the mouse correctly, but when I try to tap it to select something, it won't work (I have to hit the button below the touch pad)
so, what do you suggest I do, buy a new keyboard? They are pretty cheap - but that won't help my touch pad problem, right?
