CPU upgrade issue

I've just recently installed an Intel Pentium M Processor CPU 2.0GHz/512/400 MHz SL6FK in my Inspiron 8600.

The original cpu is an Intel 1.5ghz with 2.0mb L2 cache and 400mhz FSB.

My problem lies with the fact that after installing the 2.0ghz cpu, and powering on the laptopn, my screen goes white for a few seconds and then powers off.

The power, hdd and battery lights are lit during this white screen process, btw.

I've reinstalled the original cpu and everything's fine.

Anybody know what's wrong?

Do you have latest BIOS version for this comp?

BIOS (A14). Doesn't look like there's gonna be any support in the future for this 1. Just have to find a cheap Pentium M 755 for under $30-40.
