Adobe Flash on iOS platform

Well it looks like it finally comes to reality. Following up with what Adobe CEO mentioned earlier in the month that Apple and Adobe had come to an understanding, ...

"Today Adobe is happy to announce updates to Flash Builder and the Flex framework that now offer support for iPhone, iPad and BlackBerry PlayBook. As a result, developers can quickly build and distribute apps through the Android Market, BlackBerry App World and Apple App Store using one tool chain, programming language and code base—a first for developers!"

Since Adobe can't get Apple to dole out some $$$, expect them to charge developers $$$ to get a hand on the latest Flash Builder tools laugh4.gif Flex 4.5 is still free though.

Your thoughts?

Interesting.

I wonder if Apple finally made battery improvements that led to them allow this on their platform.

Battery performance is still open to be seen. Apple won out in a way that Flash content (app) will be encapsulated, true to their nature as not to be responsible for 3rd party software behaviour. And one thing less in security holes to be worried about.

cheers ...
