My daughter spilled some liquid on here mini and I dried it out and everything other than the HD worked. it was damaged with the spill..Got a new HD but of course, the daughter didnt buy an external HD and didnt make any recovery Disk(s).
Wondering if anyone made the recovery disks for the 210 (it initially had Win7 Starter)..I would be willing to compensate for the effort plus shipping if someone could help me out...I am waiting on an external optical drive I purchased but because of the mail strike its not here yet..Dont want to go out and buy and Win7 Starter CD just for this thing..would really like to have it as it was "out of the box"

Just to let you know, I have already looked at the HP site and there is no longer anywhere to buy recovery disks...Used to be there but no longer...at least, if it is, I cant find it

Update...decided to look into purchasing a copy of Win7 Home premium on EBay at a decent price (Full) 32 &64 bit disks...I have a couple of 64bit Win7 laptops so would always come in handy even though I have made recovery disks for each of them..Anyhow, was at the HP.ca site and downloading drivers and lo and behold, I clicked on one called "recovery Media" and was an option to buy the recovery disk for my model for $45 incl shipping...So I went for that...I also bought a 2 GB module of PC6400 800mhz memory on Ebay for $23..so it will be maxed out for mem...if I do pickup that combo Home Premium double disk, I will still put the 32 bit on the netbook..Win7 Starter is kinda bare from what I understand

I have the starter version on the Toshiba netbook and am quite happy with it. Multi tasking is fine

cheers ...
