X301 Power Manager not charging aftermarket battery

Thread Starter

I've been using my X301 for a while with a aftermarket 6 cell battery with no problems, but recently Power Manager is refusing to charge the aftermarket battery. The message is sends is: "This system may not support batteries that are not genuine Lenovo-made or authorized. The system will continue to boot, but may not charge unauthorized batteries."

I don't want to uninstall PM for the charge threshold feature, but I need my battery charged. Anyone else having this problem or knows a solution?

Stick with OEM battery - my personal preference. Or you just have to ignore the warning message and hope for the best

cheers ...

It's very important to research before buying an OEM battery. The money you save on a OEM battery is typically not worth the headaches it will cause. When you buy straight from Lenovo, you know you are getting what you pay for.
