i have an older gateway mx3215 that i bought a ram for. on gateway's website it says the memory it has is a pc2 4300 but inside, the original ram says it's pc2 4200 expandable to 1g. so i went and bought a 1g pc2 4200 kingston, installed it and i get a blank screen when i turn it on. this is the second ram i've installed with similar results. what gives? the original ram still works and will allow the computer to power up. thanks in advance!
