Need recovery disk for P305-S8820

Hi All,

I need to do a system restore back to Toshiba factory default. I thought the image was on another drive, but it appears the image is not on the hard disk, and I was never given one (cd). Where can I get a recovery CD/DVD for my toshiba P305-S8820?

When I press 0 then press the power switch, while holding down the 0 key. I get a Windows Boot Manager screen with the following options instead of the Toshiba Recovery Utility Menu.

Microsoft Windows Vista

To specify an advanced option for this choice press F8

Tools:
Ramdisk Device option
Windows Memory Diagnostics

Those didn't work either.

If I purchase Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3-User) (DVD-ROM).

1. Will I be able to perform a clean install by reformatting the disk?
2. Is there a utility from Toshiba, that will go find all the drivers for Windows 7?

1. yes and should, unless you have a bad drive
2. no, you need to pick up the drivers manually yourself. With Windows 7 I just leave it to the OS to pick up what it needs as far as drivers concerns
