Typing Problem. PLEASE HELP

When typing on laptop sometimes the cursor will backtrack and start typing in between words already typed. Very annoying...what is causing this? How do I fix this problem?

Your palms are clear from the touchpad? Use an external keyboard?

No its the on board keyboard of my laptop.  and yes the touchpad is free when im typing.

How old is the notebook? Since how long are you having this issue? Try cleaning underneath the keyboard (compressed air) ?

I often touch the keypad by accident, maybe this is what your doing. Sometimes I swear I did not touch it, but it still clicks somewhere else. Try disabling your touchpad when you type.
