This release fixes a few obscure typos and bugs in some of our scripts. Pburn and Pfilesearch have been added for testing. There are no menu entires yet, so run “pburn” from the command line. If there are any Puppy fans out there that can help us getting these to work as well as they do on Puppy, that would be awesome. If they work okay, then we can add them to the menu in 6.4.

The main reason for this release was to add more kernel CPU options. Parted Magic now comes in i486, i686, and x86_64. The only testing I've done with x86_64 was on my i7 machine. I've successfully chrooted into Slackware64 1337 and ran some command line programs. The i686 CPU is set to PIII, so if you are running a PII, use the i486 version instead.

Free.

With these features, this will surely be listed on my favorite computer technicians tool list.

I like being portable (no need of installation)

Yes, I am impressed with this new version, and a free tool at that.

Do you clone often Q? What is your primary use for this?

Just part of my tool box when I visit friends and relative to fix stuff. But I do go through a cloning cycle of all my comps for back-ups, every 2-3 months (no, I don't use incremental back-up; restore points work fine)

A really good 'must have' piece of software... Put it on a pen drive, very handy... I just wish they wouldn't update it so much.....tongue.gif

I believe this latest update has something to do with a bug they had with NTFS
