Not quite sure what internal VGA means.

I meant that some Mother boards comes with built in Video graphical card , and you can switch between it and the other Video graphical card.

Got me ?blushing.gif

Got ya - integrated GPU. Well, the specs say Radeon HD 6770M switchable graphics with 2048MB GDDR5 so it should support lower graphic frequency when there is no demand for higher graphic performance.

Try using your friend's power settings - take a look at his setup in control panel and see if you can match them

. Graphic driver: you can check this within devices manager
. BIOS: you need to get into BIOS set up (DEL or F2 at start) and write down the BIOS version

You don't have a graphic problem, You are missing some configuration setting that can be caused by either driver or BIOS or software. Since the 2 comps are exactly the same as you stated up to the BIOS, I would suggest updating it. And yes, BIOS can cause graphic issues or fixing them

Just compare your BIOS version, see if there is a newer version from HP for your model, and probably needing a download direct and manual installation
