Apple has great customer service, personally I like apple's pro line up.Y
you get a lot of power out of these bad boys that come equiped with the latest and greatest. They also have a great battery life, are light, and don't heat up as much as other computers.
Typically compared to other performance laptops such as alienware dollar for dollar I have seen the macbook pros outperform them. Unless you buy the even more souped up really extravegant alienware will you really beat the macbook pros. But then again it comes at a great expense and they are big and bulky if you don't mind carrying such a thing around.
the 15in and 17in macbook pros are where the real power is at they have the extra GT processor unlike the standard 13in pros.
You should take a look into apple. They were the first to have the second gen i5 and i7's, first to have thunderbolt (the fastest way to transfer data from devices) which is quicker then USB 3.0 and pci-express 2.0!
My 2 year old macbook pro was undefeated at my school until my friend upgraded to the latest mac :(
Oh well, but for most people OSX is a joy, but to others windows is the way. Tiger will be released soon, so its a fun time to join the mac.
