I want the Lenovo thinkpad L420. I was thinking of buying it from here http://notebooksrus.com.au/laptop-catalog-business-executive-notebooks-machine-buy-fast-quick-cheap/lenovo-notebooks

 

Does anyone have experience with this laptop? please explain if its any good or not. I'm not worried about getting a cheap laptop, I just want a laptop that is good quality.

The rule of thumb is: you almost can't go wrong with a Lenovo....when it comes to build quality.

Looking through your link....that's a pretty weak core set of equipment (core i3, 250Gig hard drive,etc) for the price. However, it's an AU site, so I don't know how expensive things are over there down under.....

Also, a lot depends on what you want to use your laptop for. For general business use, or for light duty--email, web surfing, etc.--and if you want long battery life, then that configuration is pretty good.
Still, if you want maximum battery life and good performance, try to get your hands on an SSD-class laptop.
