have an acer 7741 hard drive crashed put a hard drive out of a hp acer had windows 7 hp had vista what do i need to do to make it compatable

Install Windows 7 on the HP drive (????)

Hard drives from one machine with an operating system on it will not work in another machine..you will need to format that drive, buy a copy of Win7, install it as well as all the drivers for that model or maybe contact Acer and see if you can purchase a copy of the restore CD for that model...

i have a recovery disk that i down loaded on line but haven't got it to down load onto my hp hard drive that i installed into the acer
