White spot on display backlight (LED diffuser?) - MacBook Air 2011 11-inch

Has anyone experienced white spots on their LED backlit MacBook displays?  I have a bright "smudge" or fleck in the lower right of my MacBook Air (2011 11-inch) about where the trash can used to be, pre-OSX.

 

I only notice it when off angle.  I saw it when demonstrating something to a client.

I'm debating about an exchange.  This model has a Samsung SSD and I'm not psyched to exchange that for a possible Toshiba (not that I'd really notice) in the process.

Wow here I thought dead pixels and screen problems were a thing of the past!

I would definitely do an exchange if I were you.
