How to Upgrade RAM?

Thread Starter

I recently purchased the Acer Aspire  AS4339-2618 from Best Buy.  It is a 14" notebook with only 2 gb of ram.  I would like to upgrade it, but there is no quick access panel on the bottom like every other notebook I have ever owned.  I have googled the issue so many times and haven't found any answers.

How do I access the dimm sockets, ram slots, on this notebook?  Do I simply remove the bottom of the notebook and there they are?  Or, do I also need to remove the keyboard, track pad, etc like I have seen on the Acer netbooks?  Just trying to figure out how hard it is and if I can accomplish it on my own.

Any help would be a awesome.  Thank you everyone in advance.

I was able to find someone to answer this question for my by posting a comment on the notebook's review section.  In case someone else is wondering how to access the hdd and ram sockets, it's just a matter of removing the bottom of the notebook.

There are approximetely 24 screws that need to be removed from the bottom of the notebook.  The battery needs to be removed and roughly 6 of the 24 screws are in the battery compartment.  The good thing is that the bottom of the notebook comes right off, not clips or anything.  Once the bottom is removed, the ram sockets and hdd are right there. Should be very easy to do for most people.  You just have the pain of removing 24 very tiny screws.
