Sager NP8130 and Sennheiser's PC 360 gaming headset

Thread Starter

So I am going to be purchasing the Sager NP8130. I am aware it comes with support for 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound from THX. I was wondering if the Sennheiser's PC 360 gaming headset (for $300) would be a good candidate? People say you should get a dedicated sound card to get the best quailty out of them.. I will be on a laptop though, so I dont think (to my knowledge) that I can get a dedicated sound card on a laptop. Is the THX prostudio sound card (dont know if thats the right discription for it) worthy enough for this apparently praised headset? Thank you each and every one of you for your reply in advance. Blessings :) Have a good night/day (when ever you answer my question :p).

I've never opted for an external sound card for any gaming notebook I've played on. In addition, I am not an audiophile and I feel most sound cards are sufficient enough, unless you are trying to hook up some serious speakers/subs. That said, I think the built in audio will be fine for your headset needs.
