Acer Ferrari 3200 gets hot?

Everyone says that the acer ferrari 3000 gets very hot. Like almost way too hot. Is this the case with the Ferrari 3200 as well? What makes the Ferrari 3000 get so hot? The hard drive? Processor? Video Card?

I dont want to buy a computer that gets boiling hot.

thanks

All three (gpu, cpu, and hdd) add to the heat output of your computer. However, the gpu will only contribute to the heat when serious gaming. The processor tends to get very hot when doing demanding tasks. I have no interest in the 3000 so I dont read reviews on it but I assume most trouble was with the hdd. It tends to get hot, especially if it is placed right underneath where your palm rests.
I don't think you have to worry about the 3200 getting hot unless gaming. The new true mobile processor will probably run cool although its hard to say since no one received one.
P.S. you've started 3 seperate threads on one laptop. Just a suggestion: put your questions in one thread.

Similar problem with heat - solved it with a Laplogic G650

I had a similar problem with my Dell (got up towards 130F on the bottom), and I ended up buying a laptop desk from LapLogic that protects you from the heat (www.laplogic.com). It doesn't cool your laptop, but it protects you without making your laptop run any hotter. They sell both rigid and flexible products, but I bought the G650 - rigid - and it works like a champ - something like 55 degrees of temperature protection. With mine, I can go for hours without feeling any heat. It's worth a look.
