Question about benchmarks

I recently bought a Sager np9280 from Ebay. LOVE it for WoW! I ran a benchmark test and compared it against other uploaded NP9280's, and am confused about the results. I know the slowest part of my system are my HDD's (2x500GB 7200rpm), but with the latest drivers, shouldn't my results be the same as other laptops with the same specs? And I have read in different threads about the lack of OC ability on these systems, but someone must have figured out SOMETHING, because other NP9280's are running at faster than the 2.67 GHz that I am currently running at...any thought would be GREATLY appreciated.PerfRes.gif

Sorry about the double post...I'm a tard. I did run another passmark test, and came up with a TOTALLY different result...Benchmark 1.gif

So, now I'm even more confused

Disks are hard to test because it depends on the activity, which is why you're seeing two different results.

Make sure you not doing anything in the background that would cause the benchmarks to be confused. Running the benchmark while you're burning a CD for example would not be a good test of the hard drive.

But I would run the test 2 or 3 more times and average the scores together.

We justed to have a great database that compared this test to other tests, but sadly it's not available to search through anymore.

Yeah, the 2nd test was done with everything turned off i could turn off. I'm still wondering how some people with the same sys have been able to pull over 3GHz processing speed though...i know I'm prolly just being greedy...but 'if johnny can do it? why can't iiii?'

LOL
