Factory Restore DISCS.

I have a Toshiba satillite L 305 laptop,with no factory restore backup,on D-drive.

I tried the factory restore disks from Toshiba,put in disk 1 of 2,a bunch of un understandable information comes up,how do I get this disc,to factory restore,my Laptop?

Please explain like I was 7 years old,Thank You.

You probably need to boot the laptop off the CD.

Sometimes the laptop can detect this automatically and as long as you have the CD in the drive when the computer is booting, it will go through the proper steps. Try this first.

If that doesn’t work, you probably need to go into the bios and switch the boot sequence so the notebook boots from the CD rom first, before it boots from your hard drive.
