Where is my trash going on my MacBook Pro?

Here I'm going through a bunch of pictures i took today & seems I have all duplicates & even the pictures that were not dupes I moved to the trash & yet my trash shows completely empty?!?!?!

Where all these pics & stuff im trying to put in my trash going?
How do I find them to get rid of them?

I take lots & lots of pictures & want to remove lots of them from my Laptop yet now I dont know where they're going... azz.gif

If you are putting them in your trash they should be getting deleted.

Did you get a confirmation that the items were being moved? Might have to access terminal utility to check out the .trash folder itself

Yeah one would think.... But normally it has always gone to my trash folder & then I delete it from there.

I wonder if you hit a key combination somewhere that would cause the trash to empty itself. Make a small test with one file and see if the system still functions correctly. Combined with the issue of the optical drive on your other thread, I might want to re-install the whole system just to be sure.

For some strange reason the problem has corrected itself?
I noticed today it working as its suppose to.
