Worth it to upgrade to MacBook Air?

So, I've been contemplating the upgrade from a Mid 2009 13" MacBook Pro to a new 13" MacBook Air. My Pro has a 2.26 GHz processor and 2 GB of ram. I have a few questions:

1. Is it worth it to make this upgrade?
2. How much would I realistically be able to get for my Pro?
3. Is it likely that they're going to upgrade the Pro soon, decreasing the amount I'd get for mine?

Any input is welcome!

Depends on how much you are going to spend on the Air, or the Pro... The 13" air is faster than the 11" air, but not by much. The CPU speed on both is slower.. The Pro has a range of screen from 13.3" and above, plus a range of i5 or i7 cpus's starting at 2.3ghz i5...

My view, if you upgrade and are not a traveller, get a pro, but get as much as you can (obviously) for the old pro... If you tend to travel a lot, the Air will do....

Thanks for your input Mr.T! Do you know if the 1.7 Core i5 in the new Air is faster than the 2.26 Core 2 Duo in the older Pro?

Speed burst does not mean much here, Intel Core i series works with more cache and larger FSB than Core 2 Duo - so it more (more) data more efficiently.

Thanks qhn.

So, does anyone know what a reasonable amount to ask for a 2009 13" MacBook Pro is?

Worth more than 1K for sure. Have you looked into the Apple buy-back program? Use their offer and add 25-40% on top

cheers ...
