Hi guys, Im going to moving out of the country in 2-3 weeks and need a laptop to keep me connected to my freinds and family while Im gone, I will be in the middle of the rainforest...literally

Heres the deal I can only spend between 350-400 dolars..I know people feel you cant get a decent laptop for this but I've heard that many times...this is my situation.

What I will be using it for:

-Watching videos online

-Using Skype

-Surfing the internet regularly

-Download music to my EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE

I'm going to be RIGHT NEXT TO the ocean so I'd like the best build quality possible for the my price limit.

I'm torn between ASUS/DELL/TOSHIBA right now..although I havn't done much research so please share your opinion freely.

Whats the best model comp, in your opinion, I can get FOR MY PRICE LIMIT...I know some are dying to say NONE but I really need constructive advice here guys.

There are soooo many opinions online and I am not computer savy so thats why I ended up making this thread, if there a laptop even two people can agree upon I will be happy :D

So in the end Im just looking for the overall best bang for the buck laptop at my price rance.

oh yea and SPEED is very important to me..also I will be connecting thru WiFi so a laptop that has good RECEPTION is important as well as DURABILITY because it will be fairly humid where I will be living.

Thanks!

Not really, I'm going soley going off reviews since I'm not the best at buying computers. So far I feel safest going with the dell inspiron that is like 379 on the Best Buy website but I'd really like to try a different computer brand...ive had dells all my life, then again if its the best bang for the buck I'l go with it.

Do you have any suggestions? Im really in the dark over here.

Thanks

Zach
