How's Your AW M9700 holding up?

Anybody has been using their Alienware M9700 everyday for the last number of years? Just wondering how they have been holding up all of this time for everyday use.

Oh man. I think a lot of our M9700 users have graduated to the next level. I was one of them.. moved to the M5750 and it's still running strong. But I did have it serviced by AW back in 2009.

Actually, I'm still using mine.

 

While I'm unable to play most games on Ultra or High, I still get 45+ fps raiding in WoW.

 

I am curious to see if I can't stretch this great little compy further.

 

Does anyone know where I can find an exhaustive post on component upgrading?

Browsing the section and the Mod Guide is the best bet to get ideas

Do you mean the "Notebook Modding" section?

 

Or is there a specific Alienware-Area 51 mod guide?

Both sections. There is no real specific and dedicated to the 51 alone, we here at NBF tend to cross posts and venturing off topics enough to make it hard (but rewarding) for members to easily collecting all information. Search using keywords would also help
