I want a laptop that can handle everything but isn't over $900....help!!

Ok so here is the thing.....I have been reading and reading and reading about all different kinds of laptops and reading their reviews....I am driving myself crazy!

 

I want a laptop that can handle everything I throw at it....I am a huge Sims fan and would like to get The Sims 3 (our desktop isn't compatible) so it must be able to run that. I consider myself a casual computer gamer (mostly Sims and online games) but when I do play games I want them to run smooth so I know for sure a dedicated graphics card is a must. I am sure though that when I get a computer that can handle today's new games, I might be playing more computer games. Also I am starting out as a photographer so I need something that can handle photo editing software. I don't want a huge laptop so nothing over 17 inches. Also I guess either a i5 or i7 Intel Core processor. And here comes the biggie: I don't want to spend over $900 smile.gif

 

Wow I sounds picky but if I am going to spend over $500 on something, I want to make sure it is something that is worth the money.

 

So any suggestions??? I hope this give yall a good starting point. Thanks!!!

Any brands preference? Dell, HP, Lenovo etc all are having some sort of sales for a good core-i5 with decent GPUs machines

If you plan to be doing photo editing, you'd want a high screen resolution. There aren't a lot of those with dedicated graphic at your price point, but there are a few like this Sony (quad-core processor, low-end dedicated video card) or this Asus (dual-core processor, higher midrange video card).
