Many many buyers have been feeling the pain. They purchased an L775D from a retail site or custom ordered a P770D from Toshiba direct. It's advertised as an AMD Radeon 6520M GPU, the 6500M series being dedicated GPUs and actually good for gaming. What you in-fact get is a 6520G integrated GPU, that performs poorly for gaming.
Toshiba needs to recall these PCs for those concerned that already purchased, and needs to fix their false advertising right quick. A 6500M series and a 6500G series is an easy $200 difference in any retail situation, and should not be ignored. Office Depot, Wal-Mart, and ToshibaDirect are reporting dedicated "M" graphics when what they are peddling is Integrated "G" graphics.
I don't care if the price is still "OK", the buyer should receive what they purchased. Toshiba clearly sent bad stock info to resellers, and perpetuate the problem on their own site.
If you customize at Toshiba, it says 6520M:
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cdetland.to?poid=2000006044
If you go to Wal-mart is says 6520M:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Toshiba-L775D-S7206/16652449
If you go to office Depot it says 6520M:
http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/777489/Toshiba-Satellite-L775D-S7226-Laptop-Computer/#tab2
(under product details tab)
So C'mon, why should the buyer know that they are getting a 6520G bad and slow integrated graphics solution as opposed to the mighty 6500M series that they think they are getting due to false advertising??? (It's sold to them as "M" !?)
6250M clearly falls in line with 6500M series specifications? Just a shame that 6520M DOES NOT EXIST.

We can't completely blame Office Depot or Wal-Mart when Toshiba has the same fault on their own site and is at fault for the entire issue at hand. It's clear that Toshiba fumbled and sent resellers/distributors some very incorrect info that is promising buyers hundreds more of value than they are getting. As they say, If it's too good to be true...
Everyone needs to know that they got screwed, and Toshiba needs to issue a formal recall. I phoned them a week ago, requested for a manager about this false advertising and was ignored. They said my message would get to a manager.
You know what, they can't screw customers over forever without the world knowing, and here we are. The manager did nothing, lots of buyers are angry, and the world will know.
Retrain your supposed "higher up" employees Toshiba, and sell customers what you promise. Your company has made huge mistakes, and it's YOUR responsibility to solve the problems that you started.
Website corrections will not solve this for buyers that already bought into a lie. To avoid a well deserved class action suit, both a website correction for all affected retailers AND a recall is needed NOW for all the customers that have been unfairly taken advantage of.
