Need help purchasing a new Alienware laptop

These are the two laptops i have narrowed it down to. I just need help choosing which one will have a better gaming performance.

I'd take the AW, simply because the AW m17x has been a proven beast compared to the new m18

I like the m17x but my main concern is the graphics card. Would a Radeon 6990 be more powerful than 2 gtx 460s in sli?

Yes, seems to have slight edge on that 460M Sli.

Yeah i know the 6990 is better than the gtx 580 but i wasnt sure if it was more powerful than a gtx 460 sli.

The difference isn't so big, 3 - 16% in published 3DMark benchmarks.
