video card

I have a chance to pick up a rather nice laptop that the owner says has a failing video card. It is a removable card Nvidia and I have a Radeon card. Would I be able to fit it into the socket? Are all these cards compatible with each other like in desktops?

Thanks

No unfortunately they are not... If the nVidia card is failing, it can be repaired by 'baking' or even better the GPU can be reflowed..

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have never heard of "baking" or "reflowed" I have found out the differences of the MXM slots. But as someone pointed out, even if the Radeon fits the slot, if the chip isn't in the exact same place, the cooling head won't do any good.
