touchpad problems.

i have an acer laptop. the touchpad is half working. u can move the arrow around but u can't double click, left click or right click. will be glad for an advice. please? thanks in advance.

Hard to tell, you might need to remove the palm rest to get to the underside of the touch pad and see if anything is being stuck or loose

I assume you have been into the Control Panel and checked into the device to make sure none of the settings have been changed

you mean like open it up?? isn't their something i can do before i go to that option?

Did you go into the control panel yet and check the settings??
Start>Control Panel>Mouse

(That should get you there, you never mentioned what Operating system you had on the laptop, but tose steps should be close)
