Gateway NV53

Hello,

I have a Gateway NV53. I was updating my bios and wifi driver from Gateway website. As soon as double clicked on Bios update icon my laptop got stuck and stayed there in that position for 15 mins until I tried the power button to reboot it.. reboot button didnt work at all and didn't turned off my laptop, so I pulled the battery.

Now, My laptop turns on but I have no display and no lights on keyboard. I bought this laptop from Canada and I'm from India. Gateway tech supports in New Delhi are pathetic, No once picks call, I've tried to hold the line in que for 45 mins, No one picks up.

Please help me fix this issue, is there anyway I can get the laptop working with any patch or something?

Search the forum for Blind BIOS flash and hopefully you can recover from this bad flash. You can also try removing the CMOS battery and see if you can reset the BIOS chip from there

Tried that, Didnt help :( I think BIOS will need to be loaded again. is there I can do it myself? as the laptop was purchased from Canada and in India service center doesn't have other option than replacing Motherboard.

Please help me fix it.

Search the forum and the net for Blind BIOS flash - can't guarantee that it always works
