870wu sound problem, problem: no more sound

Aye ups me again!
As always something is wrong, my sound is gone completely. It's not even being recognized in device manager, no detection at all.
Before this, it made a hellalota sound, hissing like mad, so I powered down, booted up again, and bang, no sound recognition, it's like the speakers have gone. (nothing was spilled on them or damaged in any way) has anybody had this problem, and is it easy to replace the sound card on 870? I presume not. Or any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try removing the audio within device manager, restart the comp and see any differences

It's not even listed in device manager, completely disappeared !
Not even the sound category, in notification you can see speaker icon but it's crossed,

Try booting from a Linux CD and see if you can get (any) sound from there
