M675PRR Laptop

Hi everyone. I am brand new to this forum. I bought my elderly father a Gateway M675PRR for his birthday 9 months ago. He is having all kinds of problems with the power cord being loose. Does anyone know for sure if I need to replace the power cord or the place that the cord fits in to? How can I find that out? Also the power cord is two sections. Can I just buy the part that goes into the computer, so it's not so expensive?? Thanks for any help you can provide. Cindy

Maybe you want to station the notebook and the power cord on a tray so that the 2 parts move together as ONE unit.

The part that goes into the notebook is always the expensive part, unless you are talking about just an adapter - in which case I believe that you are using an universal adapter - thus the plug always got loose, correct? If so, it's time to find the OEM part that comes with the Gateway.
