Does this (AS5552-3691) computer make a lot of (fan) noise?

Hi people,

I am in the market for a budget laptop in the next month or so. I found this laptop at Circtuit City:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this laptop makes a lot of noise from the fans? I have an Acer 5253-BZ656 that makes absolutely no noise and would like to get another (yet a little more powerful one) like this.

Any opinions is much appreciated.

Cheers!

Acer by default is pretty quiet - not sure about particular model.

This is the second Acer budget laptop that i bought from Circuit City. I was amazed by the specs for such a low price. It's not the best looking laptop, but it has a nice texture on the palm rests and backside which keeps fingerprints to a minimum, it is also simple in design. One of my primary requirements was that it be VERY quite and I wasn't disappointed. I use it as a PHP web server for Web Development purposes and it works excellent. I tried a few games, like Chess Master and Trine. It can play both fine. Trine plays well at Low Graphics settings. This is definitely not a gamer's laptop, however it's perfect for doing productivity work such as word processing, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Web Browsing, Email, etc. As for the graphics, it has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 card. It doesn't have a Bluray drive (no surprise there), So I tried copying an MKV encoded Bluray. At first it didn't play at all. Then I tried VLAN, but that didn't work either, the video and audio were very choppy. Finally, I installed Shark 007 codecs, and after that, I was able to play MKV's without any problems or hicups. The Display is sharp and vibrant. It's a glossy screen, so it does suffer from glare like all other laptops these days. I enjoy the fact that it has a gigabit ethernet port. I can copy files from one computer to another at almost the same speeds as a USB drive. I give this laptop a rating of 5 because of its quality specifications for what I paid.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!
