Aspire 5750G HDD fail after 4 months

Brand new 4 months old and the Toshiba Hard drive is packing up...reported by Intel Rapid storage manager and Win 7 OS.

Phoned Acer SA .. checked warranty on line ... All OK they pick up ...

few days later I get a repair price ... almost half the price of the machine, because I bought it in Malaysia but live in South Africa my "Travel Warranty" is worth Squat ... Nice one ACER.

 

I travel a lot and spend long times away from home .. 3 months in Malaysia is a long time now I get punished for buying there but returning home before your inferior product craps out.

 

You may be right on the letter of the warranty but sure as hell not the spirit .. 

 

One disgusted customer that will NEVER recommend or buy Acer again.

Ouch. Try to escalate to a higher level of support, write and mail to Acer direct. This sounds to me like a local issue more than an international level. Hope you sort it out.

Charging something at 4 months old is simply not right.
