My u46e goes with me everywhere. With the right power settings, I can get 7+ hours out of it. But I still feel safer to have a 2nd charger with me. Since they're so small, why not carry any extra and leave one plugged in at home.
The Asus charger model is: 04G2660047L1
Specs: 65W, output: 19v @ approx 3.42A
ASUS want $49 for theirs but due to the horrible support, I'm not sending them any more money if I don't absolutely need to.
What chargers are people using for their ASUS laptops? All of the chargers on Amazon don't have ratings so I'm not touching them. Something with reliable and valid user reviews.
Any input?
Brett
PS. The u46e is an awesome machine. Fast i5, tons of memory (8gb), the onboard HD 300 graphics do great with HD-quality graphics. The touchpad is quirky and doesn't scroll very easily so I keep a wireless mouse plugged in.
