Aspire 5552-7474 wireless does not connect

i did a clean install of win7x64.

 

my wifi will not connect whenever i enter the password. then the windows troubleshooting box pops up.

 

i had tried installing broadcom drivers from acer website and it didn't work. i just end up installing some older drivers and it works perfectly. so it detects other wrouters just fine. 

 

can anyone help me with this issue?

If it works with the older drivers, why would you be bothered? One does not need always installing latest and newest drivers winknudge.gif

the older drivers work... but not fully...

 

it detects the wrouters around me, but it cannot connect every time when i enter the password.

 

i am 110% sure i know my wrouter password.

Try disable encryption on both router and your notebook and see if can connect

it is working now..

 

i tried the broadcom drivers from aspire 5250. it is working like a champ now!

i have acer 5552-7474 and i couldn't install wireless driver from their web site. instead, i found it at lenovo and it worked very well.

enjoy it.
