Cant install new driver for nivida for M11x R1

hello, im new to this site but im having a prolem with updating my graphics card driver for my m11x R1 i downloaded the most recent driver 263.08, A02 off dells website and i installed normally and with a clean install. and after i restart my pc in device manger it says my nivida GT335M is still running the 8.17.12.6308 not sure what the problem is any help would be appricated

You can try manually install the driver by pointing to the folder where you unpack the driver files, instead of running the automatic update from the driver or from device manager

Doesn't necessarily work, the latest drivers tend to leave the Control Panel out with that methode. Get the modfied drivers from here - you need one equipped with a modified inf:

i found out the problem was my own stupidity talked to a nivida support and they told my driver version is the last five digits that you see in the 8.17.12.6308 version meaning there the same thing thanks for the help thought guys

The latest driver supporting 335M on Win7/64bit is:
http://laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/285series/28527_win7x64.exe
using http://laptopvideo2go.com/infs/285series/28527_win7x64/nvwi.inf in the driver, put into Display.Driver folder replacing the original inf.
