Acer 5535 won't power up

I recently had the Display Inverter replaced. The screen still looks like it was acting up. I had to reboot a couple of times to have it light up. I open the screen and found the plug lock on the inverter had one broken ear. So I took a alligator clip and held it closed and put a drop of crazy glue on it. It held ok. But the problem is,  when I was removing the alligator clip I touched the pins and saw a small spark. Now the unit won't even power up and when I plug the charger in, the green light for the charger doesn't even light. Is there a replaceable fuse that I may have blown and if so where is it located.    Thank you

Would you have a pic of the area where you sparked it?

No, it's all back together now but it sparked on the pins on the display inverter. The side that has 6 pins on it. I believe that goes to the motherboard.

Sometimes there is a power board, separated from the main board in that area, which can be replaced. It would be nice if that is the case. If not, short from having a schematic on hand and tracing the circuitry, it will be tough to diagnose

Is there a replaceable fuse on the power board or does the board now need to be replaced?  Thank You

There is no fuse on (any) notebook boards that I know of. The board is wasted the way you described, unless, as I stated, someone with a good schematic who can go in and trace and replace certain parts (capacitors, chips ...)

cheers ...
