Serious problem with my brand new Asus Lamborghini VX7SX

Hello guys,

so few days ago I've bought an Asus Lamborghini VX7SX. It's i7 2630QM, 16GB RAM, 1TB (2x500), GTX560M, Windows 7 Ultimate. The problem is that during very first boot up I forgot to plug in my AC charger and in the middle of the "welcome" session notebook just switched off. Afterwards I've plugged my AC in and realized that everything was okay and I didn't have to it all over again.

Next thing I copied around 160GB of my stuff from external HDD into the notebook, installed a few games, some programs like WinRAR, Acrobat Reader and such. Also did full windows update procedure to have everything up do date.

ISSUE:

Ever since I did everything described above my notebook stopped working well. Every time I try to go to "my computer" it shows "windows explorer stopped working" ... then "searching for a solution" and afterwards it just restarts the whole desktop and such. I does same stuff if I try to go to library or external HDD or basically into any folder. What the hell?

+

Suddenly regulation of keyboard light stopped working, changes of screen themes stopped working (it is the special button that regulates gamma correction, movie, normal, vivid, soft).

Does anyone have a similar experience? I don't think this has something to do with VX7, more likely this question is general to any kind of laptop. I need some help as I don't want to copy all the stuff into my external HDD again (takes around 2 hours) and re-installing my OS. Since HDD is divided into four partitions and my data is on both, I am quite afraid of backing it up and putting the laptop in a factory state.

What can I do? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounded to me like something you installed knocking something off the original set-up. I would personally go back to factory state, update the OS before starting playing with importing files or installing new apps. And create a restore point every step of the way.

You can also try re-installing the Lamborghini special apps that came with the notebook.

I've tried to re-install the factory Lamborghini applications and that didn't help.

I am looking forward into getting the notebook into factory state, but I am afraid of losing my date. The worst thing is that I just realized that I don't have my external HDD with me. I need to backup my data, are there any reliable solutions to this? The best would be to do this via some kind of software, so I don't have to bother with external HDD.

+ THIS NEW WINDOWS APPEARED:

Explorer.exe - application error:

"The instruction at 0x800051da referenced memory at 0x001d0000. The memory could not be written.Click on OK to terminate the program."

That is not a pretty error, and confusing to say the least. You can try, if you have the installation OS disk, perform a system repair - this will keep all your data intact.

Search the net for Windows (whatever your Windows version is) ISO. There are many legal downloads for the ISO, then burn it to a DVD or CD - that will be your installation disk
