From what you stated, you already have 3 partitions on the drive, so safest (normal) way is to add just one more to the system; unless you start playing with extended partition which I don't recommend for system day-to-day usage

NO ME ONLY HAVE ONLY ONE DRIVE 450gb ME NEED TO MAKE ANOTHER FROM TIS ONE BUT SHRINK METHOD NOT ALLOW ME TO CREATE THE PARTITION MORE THEN 250GB

No need to shout here wink.gif

I read that you have ONE drive, but there are THREE partitions already (System, recovery "other 2 small one named as recovery etc ") - is this correct? If yes then you are SAFE to add ONE more partition by shrinking the main one - thus having ONE System, TWO recoveries (as you stated) and ONE new partition of 250GB as the system dictates.

You can make the new 250GB partition into an extended partition and from there you can have more partitions in within.

Or you can delete your recovery partitions, then you are free to add another THREE of any size in there to your heart content.

thanks for answers.

all thing 100% Good and Ok as you said but me need to make the partition more then 250gb

see the things

now the C is Single drive having 450GB

now me use shrink method its allow me only to make new one 250gb and C remain 200gb

but me need as this C is 125GB and other is so on but its restrict me to leave c as 200gb and allow new one only 250gb

. Create some recovery disks
. Download GParted Live CD and burn it into a disk
. Boot up with this GParted tool disk and follow the instruction
. Hopefully this tool will allow you making another partition greater than the 250GB that you need.

My personal feeling is that if the built-in "shrink" utility was holding you back to certain size, it must be a reason for it. Good luck.

Those are good read smile.gif Choose whichever method that you can be comfortable with. Just remember: create some recovery disks first.
